- He has been working on the cardiac molecular biology for 25 years, He am interesting in researching in the mechanisms of ischemia heart disease, hypertrophy, heart failure, and stem cell therapy. Now He is focusing on regulation of transcription by the transcriptional factor and activators or co-activators and stem cell research in vascular disease and heart disease. In 2010, He was rewarded the Florida Stop the heart disease of 2010 by the Florida Heart Association.

Dr. Abdelmonem A. Hegazy is currently working as Professor of Human Anatomy and Embryology Department in Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); as well as he is a Consultant of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility. He is the former chairman of the Anatomy and Embryology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); and Professor in King Saud and Majmaah Universities (KSA) 2009-2013 and Misurata, Faculty of Medicine (Libya) 2000. Dr. Hegazy is also a referee member of scientific research submitted for promotion of professors in Egyptian Universities. Dr. Hegazy participates in a Zagazig University academic, scientific, educational and professional development activities in the fields of medical sciences development, including basic and clinical research, policy implementation, design programs, set coursework plans, curricula, syllabi, scientific conference paneling, as well as designing and delivering a wide scope of continuous professional development programs, including training, strategic planning, research methodology, scientific thesis and dissertation writing; research proposal, medical ethics, organization’s behavior issues, all with emphasis on system and staff development. Richard Kones MD, PhD, FAHA, FESC, FRSM, FRSH, FAGS, FRSB, attended NYU School of Medicine, was a NIH Fellow in cardiology at Tulane University School of Medicine. Continuing his work at NY Medical College, he published a monograph on ventricular mechanics and book entitled Cardiogenic Shock. Eventually relocated to Houston, his recent research has focused on PCI and CABG in multivessel coronary disease and prevention of cardiometabolic risk to improve clinical outcomes. During his academic career he has had several teaching appointments, received scholarships, awards, and grants. His work includes 120 publications, 6 books, presentations, courses, and lectures; he has peer-reviewed for 170 different medical/health publishers. As a Fellow/member in notable medical societies and organizations, he has served on a number of committees, functions as editor in several roles for medical societies, and volunteers to support promotion of ideal cardiovascular health at both individual and community levels. As a clinician, researcher, educator/mentor, editor, and public health advocate, Dr. Kones’ biography has appeared in a number of medical biographical registries.
